Soft Morning

This image was captured on a foggy morning near the Oak Bay Marina. The Great Blue Heron was hunting for breakfast near the shore, making it’s way past the soft outline of the sailboat hidden in the fog. I waiting until it had passed the boat and lifted it’s head before capturing this photograph. This image recently earned a gold medal in the North American International Exhibition (2022).
